We are recruiting for new Board Members who can identify with and champion our Purpose, Vision and Values.
We are looking for people who have skills, knowledge and expertise particularly in the following areas:
- Marketing & Public Relations
- Business Development
- Background in Learning Disability
- Organisational Development
- Human Resources
- Legal

You will help to drive forward the vision and mission of our organisation and make a positive impact on the lives of people with a learning disability, learning difficulty, Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia or other barriers to employment. Time Commitment?
Our Board currently meets every two months for approximately 1 ½ hours on a Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm- 7:30pm. Board meetings are held at our head office at 39 Seymour Street, Lisburn.
There is also a Finance, Audit and Risk sub-committee and a Human Resource Governance and Nominations Committee which meets prior to board meetings which a small number of board members attend with the Chief Officer.
Board members are occasionally requested to support the work of the charity outside these meetings, such as assisting with staff recruitment and fundraising events etc.
Due to the nature of our work, all board appointments will be subject to an Enhanced Access NI disclosure.
