Our social enterprise cafe, The Gatelodge, opened its doors to the public on Wednesday 24 June 2020 for take out.
Our first day of trading at the Gatelodge has been a great success with many regular customers from Ards Community Hospital, local businesses and locals returning. We are currently operating a reduced menu for the next couple of weeks with social distancing measures in place. Menus are available to view from our Facebook page @thegatelodgecafe with firm favourites still available such as our much loved sausage rolls and gourmet coffees.
Cafe Manager, Martha Tumelty is delighted to get the cafe back open after the restricted lock down period, she says “We are all delighted to get the doors back open and to see our customers once again. We have been busy over the last few weeks getting the cafe prepared for social distancing take out and and we are pleased how it has all come together. It’s great to be back in business”.
The cafe is open for take out Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm and will return with a full menu and extended opening hours in the coming weeks.
